BROCKHAUS develops measuring instruments for determining the filling factor in the construction of stators.

To enhance the range of measuring instruments developed by BROCKHAUS for testing the magnetic properties of materials, the Lüdenscheid specialists for measuring technology have now added a stacking factor to their selection of products. It is now possible to determine the “filling factor” of stator packages with this newly developed measuring station. Measurements are carried out with the stacking factor tester in accordance with IE C 60404-13.

This instrument is used, for example, by manufacturers who produce electrical steel packages for electric motors and transformers and, depending on the quality and the thickness if the material used, wish to calculate the “filling factor” of the stator package in relation to the installation size and the motor performance.

Among other applications the stacking factor test is ideal for use in goods entry control for manufacturers of electrical motors who wish to check that the electrical steel supplied corresponds to the requirements for the filling factor of the stators to be built<
