Operation principle

The Domain Viewer DV 90 provides a quick means for domain structure evaluation in large grained electrical steels. The viewer gives rapid results even through glass coatings and is fully portable. It is thus ideal for use in a works situation and is particularly valuable when checking grain oriented or non grain oriented electrical steel materials.


In the viewer window (diameter 90 mm) the domain structure can be viewed. Beween a transparent plastic disc (window) and a very thin membrane there is a magnetical fluid. If the viewer is positioned on a flat surface the magnetical particles orient towards the bloch walls of the magnetic material and display the domain structure.

The Domain Viewer DV 90 is supplied in a carrying case with integral, rechargeable battery power supply and with a separate mains powered charging unit.
